Production Serial #038

One of the last real Ty Tabor models Zion made. The serial numbers on these were sequential and there were less than 50 produced (actually closer to 40). I bought this guitar used.  The headstock says Ty Tabor Signature Model and the pickguard is signed by Ty. This guitar has the great sounding and functioning Mann made tremolo which has long been discontinued. This tremolo contributes significantly to the sound.

This is a good sounding guitar but absolutely pales in comparison to the original prototype. They are very different guitars for sure.  I’m not a fan of the Joe Barden Strat Deluxe pickups or Joe Barden pickups in general.  I find them to be too boomy.  It is also utterly ridiculous to NOT have tone controls on a $2000+ guitar. This guitar has only a single volume knob.  Want to hear this guitar?  Go listen to King’s X Dogman album.  I no longer own this guitar.
